NL lawyers launch campaign against minor injury cap

The government of Newfoundland and Labrador may be going where every other jurisdiction in the country has already gone: implementing a cap on minor injuries suffered as the result of automobile accidents. In an effort to modernize its auto insurance system, the government is in the midst of a comprehensive review. New legislation is expected to be in place this fall.
