Monday, March 26, 2018 @ 1:46 PM | By Carolyn Gruske

Jason Gudofsky and Debbie Salzberger are the latest equity partners to join McCarthy Tétrault.

Both will work out of the national competition and foreign investment group in Toronto.

Gudofsky is head of the firm’s antitrust/competition and foreign investment group. He advises clients about competition law in the context of their mergers, strategic alliances, joint ventures and other commercial transactions. Gudofsky also assists clients with unilateral conduct and cartel investigations and compliance matters.

Salzberger represents clients in domestic and multinational mergers and acquisitions with respect to competition/antitrust law and foreign investment reviews. She also provides competition law compliance advice regarding criminal cartel matters and reviewable practices, including joint ventures, resale pricing, advertising and distribution issues.

“We are committed to growing this critical area of practice to better serve our clients on their domestic and foreign transactions. We are very pleased to be able to expand our services in this area, reorganizing ourselves with Jason leading our transactional competition and foreign investment practice and long-time partner, Don Houston leading our competition litigation practice. Jason and Debbie are superb additions to our internationally recognized group, that also include competition and foreign investment partners Oliver Borgers, Dominic Thérien and Madeleine Renaud,” said McCarthy Tétrault CEO Dave Leonard.
