Dentons Canada LLP has taken on not just a new partner, but a new head of litigation and dispute resolution in Vancouver.

David Wotherspoon has joined the firm and will handle corporate and commercial disputes through litigation and dispute resolution.

He is experienced dealing with injunctions and Anton Piller orders, defamation and free speech, intellectual property (IP) and software disputes, crisis management, professional liability, shareholder disputes and fraud investigations. Wotherspoon typically acts for large institutional clients in a broad range of industry sectors as well as early-stage companies and individuals who deal with technology and IP. He is also extensively engaged in pro bono cases.

“We are pleased to welcome David to Dentons,” said John Sandrelli, managing partner of Dentons’ Vancouver office.

“With more than two-and-a-half decades of experience in a multitude of areas in litigation and dispute resolution, our clients and colleagues will benefit from David’s unique skill set, which will further enrich the top tier legal counsel our team already provides, both locally and nationally.”
