Future impact of non-resident speculation tax unclear

Over the past 10 years, the demand for housing, and reciprocally housing costs, have been on a seemingly runaway trajectory, especially in the Greater Toronto Area.  In 2017, the government of Ontario reports that the average housing price in Toronto increased by 33.2 per cent.
