E-discovery tool wins Ryerson’s Artificial Intelligence Legal Challenge

Evichat, an e-discovery tool that reviews mobile and social media communications, has won the Artificial Intelligence Legal Challenge, beating out five other startups for the first place prize of $40,000 in seed money.

The challenge, held by Ryerson University’s Legal Innovation Zone (LIZ) and sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, brought together startups from all over the province to compete for a slice of $80,000 in seed money and four months’ access to LIZ’s resources.
