What bills C-44 and C-4 mean to Canadian employers

In June 2017, two key pieces of legislation tabled by the federal government that have serious consequences for federally regulated employers received royal assent.

Bills C-44 and C-4 had the effect of transferring a number of powers to the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) and amending the Canada Labour Code (CLC) to restore the procedures for certification and the revocation of certification of bargaining agents that existed before June 16, 2015.
