Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) now has an innovation thought leadership committee.

The goal of the new group is to serve as the firm’s in-house think tank. It brings together 16 partners and three business services members from across a range of practice areas, regions, age groups and backgrounds. According to BLG “it will seek to leverage the best innovation ideas from both within and outside of the firm, including academia, tech startups and ... clients.”

The two co-chairs of the committee are Rob Morris, who is the firm’s chief operating officer, and partner and board member Stephen J. Redican, who specializes in fintech.

“The innovation thought leadership committee will help BLG stay ahead of the curve in legal innovation and stay attuned to what is top-of-mind for clients and lawyers,” said Lisa Chamandy, chief knowledge and innovation officer at BLG.

“The committee will continuously seek out opportunities for innovation and act as a sounding board for legal process innovation, client innovation and new services.”
