University of New Brunswick law students hardest hit by tuition hikes

The University of New Brunswick is looking to balance its budget by 2020-21 and law students may pay the price for the black ink.

UNB plans to raise tuition fees for all faculties. Highest hit, however, will be the law school. Initial proposals called for a 50.92 per cent increase in tuition for law students to more than $10,000 a year from the present $6,626. After student protests, this has been reduced to $8,786.
