Mining company adds Dentons’ member to board

Michel Brunet, a senior counsel for Dentons Canada LLP, has been appointed as a director of a Longueil, Que.-based mining firm.

Azimut Exploration Inc. granted Brunet a total of 75,000 stock options, with an exercise price of $0.40 exercisable over a 10-year period, as part of the appointment.

Brunet has a corporate and commerical law practice where he serves public, state-owned and private corporations clients, including institutional fund managers, energy firms, manufacturers, commercial corporations and financial services and brokerage firms. He has expertise in regulatory compliance matters and experience in advising executives and directors about takeover bids, underwritings, private placements, debt financings, syndications, joint ventures and shareholder agreements.

Brunet was CEO of Fraser Milner Casgrain, one of Dentons’ three founding firms, and chair of Dentons Canada from 2005 to 2017.
