Harassment, discrimination issues at forefront of LSO April Convocation

The Law Society of Ontario (LSO) addressed issues of harassment and discrimination in the profession by amending its Rules of Professional Conduct and reviewing proposals made by the Steps, Progress, Opportunities and Tactics (SPOT) team at its spring Convocation.

The amendments to the rules were Convocation’s response to the Articling Experience Survey, which was released Jan. 25, and reported that approximately one in five respondents faced unwelcome conduct based on their gender, race, disability or sexual orientation.
