Dealing with a natural disaster is not normally on a new chief justice’s to-do list, but Chief Justice of New Brunswick Marc Richard is rising to the occasion — as are the province’s judges and court staff.

On May 8 the New Brunswick Court of Appeal that Chief Justice Richard leads will hear its first appeal from its emergency digs in a moot courtroom at the University of New Brunswick’s Faculty of Law in Fredericton.
