Recreational marijuana is about to become legal in Canada, possibly as early as July 1, 2018. Individuals will soon have the right to buy, use and possess marijuana. As recreational marijuana use becomes available for consumption it will become more widely accepted. Consequently, employers have heightened concerns about the possibility of employees using or possessing marijuana in the workplace.
