Fundraising on social media encompasses a wide range of online communication, including blogs, websites, social networking sites, text messaging and e-mail. The key elements of fundraising on social media are to encourage donors and supporters to not only donate to a charity but also to share information about the fundraising campaign, including photos, videos and stories, on the donors’ or supporters’ social media accounts in hopes that those in their social media network may also become donors or supporters.
