Gowling WLG announced that Sylvia Adriano has joined the firm’s real estate group as a partner in Toronto.

Adriano’s practice encompasses all areas of commercial real estate law, with an emphasis on the acquisition, disposition, financing and development of all classes of retail, commercial, industrial and stratified properties.

Adriano has extensive experience helping property owners and developers draft and negotiate land use and development agreements and resolve challenging title and property issues. She also possesses expertise in the development and operation of retail facilities and big box shopping centres.

“Sylvia has an impressive track record of helping businesses navigate a range of complex and high-stakes real estate transactions,” said Mark Ledwell, managing partner of Gowling WLG’s Toronto office. “We look forward to her working closely with her new colleagues to deliver innovative solutions and successful outcomes to our clients across Canada.”

Outside of her legal practice, Adriano serves as chair of the Community Outreach and Giving Committee of Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women and previously sat as an advisory board member for the 2018 Canadian General Counsel Awards.
