Saskatchewan law society honours two students with Award of Distinction

The Law Society of Saskatchewan is pleased to honour each of Zina L.B. Scott and Conor Holash with the Award of Distinction.

Scott and Holash achieved the highest marks of students registered in the 2017-2018 Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED) Bar Admissions Program.

Scott obtained her juris doctor with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2017. During law school, she participated in numerous academic competitions, was a member the Law Students’ Association executive and a managing editor of the College of Law student periodical, The Caveat Lector. Scott articled with McKercher LLP in Regina and recently joined the Saskatoon firm as an associate where she maintains a general practice with a focus on civil litigation.

Holash received his law degree from the University of Alberta, where he was an avid participant in moot court competitions. He was a member of the winning team of the Bennet Jones Cup in health law advocacy, where he also received the award for Best Oralist. Hailing from Prince Albert, Alta., Holash returned there to article with Novus Law Group. He continues at Novus Law as an associate with an interest in civil litigation.
