DLA Piper adds associate to Toronto office

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Ashley Boyes to the firm’s Toronto office as an associate in the litigation, arbitration and investigations group.

Boyes practises civil litigation with a focus on corporate/commercial litigation. She has experience assisting with a variety of civil disputes including breach of contract and misrepresentation, in addition to providing strategic advice to corporate and individual clients on a wide range of commercial law matters.

She also represents both public and private clients on a variety of transactional and corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Boyes articled with the Crown Law Office Civil branch of the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. While there, she was responsible for carriage of routine matters in small claims court and appeared before the Superior Court of Justice.

During law school, Boyes interned at the War Crimes Research Office in Washington, D.C. She also interned with International Justice Mission’s Philippines field office. She worked closely with the Director of National Prosecution Development and Legal Interventions to help combat sex trafficking.
