It has been 25 years since the enactment of Ontario’s Class Proceedings Act (CPA). In that time, class actions have grown in number, complexity, impact…and controversy.

In Sept. 2017, the Law Commission of Ontario (LCO) initiated a major project to review the CPA. This project is the first independent review of class proceedings in Ontario in more than a generation.
