Making the most of Nova Scotia’s unique geography, Nova Scotia is developing a regulated marine renewable energy industry that is the first of its kind in Canada and perhaps globally. Encouraged by increasing interest from tidal energy researchers and developers in the Bay of Fundy which not only has the world’s highest tides but is also in close proximity to potential energy markets, the provincial government in Nova Scotia has responded with pioneering legislation regulating this emerging industry.
