MacDonald new partner with BLG’s securities, capital markets group

Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) welcomes Cameron MacDonald as a partner in its securities and capital markets group.

He will practise out of BLG’s Toronto office.  

“Cameron brings significant securities and financing experience to BLG,” said Frank Callaghan, BLG’s national group head, corporate and capital markets. “His expertise will further strengthen our team and allow to us to continue to provide superior service to our clients.”

MacDonald’s practice will focus on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, as well as the structuring and distribution of public and private investment funds and structured products.

He regularly advises foreign and domestic clients on complex capital markets transactions, including RTOs, IPOs, qualifying transactions, new issues, secondary offerings and private placements for TSX, TSX-V and CSE listed issuers across a broad range of industries.

He has also represented public and private companies, private equity sponsors, special committees, boards, financial advisers and other transaction participants involved in a variety of M&A transactions, including both friendly and hostile transactions.
