Wood Bull LLP announced that Lee English has joined the Toronto firm as an associate.

Wood Bull is a specialty practice law firm that focuses on municipal, planning and development law, with particular emphasis on the land development approvals process and municipal finance.

English’s practice involves all aspects of land use planning and development law and a broad range of municipal law matters. His experience includes providing advice to municipalities and private sector clients on a broad range of issues including those related to land use and development, including advising on all aspects of the development approval process; municipal powers and authority; conflict of interest; the acquisition of real property by way of tax sale and expropriation; and municipal orders or prosecution directed at private sector clients.

Prior to joining Wood Bull, English enjoyed a general practice with a focus on municipal and land use planning law at a leading regional law firm in Atlantic Canada. In that context, he represented municipalities at various levels of court in Newfoundland and Labrador and at the Newfoundland and Labrador municipal appeal board. English brings this litigation experience to his municipal and land use practice at the firm.
