Pulver Crawford Munroe LLP announced that M. Patricia (Pat) Gallivan has joined the firm as senior counsel, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

“Pat is a respected leader in British Columbia and Canada’s labour, employment and human rights bar. We are thrilled to have her extraordinary depth of experience and strategic guidance to further strengthen the team at Pulver Crawford Munroe LLP,” said firm partner, Marcia McNeil.

Gallivan provides strategic advice to the firm’s clients in all areas of labour and employment, and her practice includes collective bargaining and advocacy on behalf of employers at labour arbitrations, provincial and federal labour relations boards, human rights tribunals and all levels of court.

“The lawyers at Pulver Crawford Munroe LLP share my commitment to providing the highest level of client service with a proactive, practical and solutions oriented approach. I look forward to continuing to provide strategic guidance, counsel and advocacy as part of this very talented and well-respected team,” said Gallivan.

Appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2000, Gallivan was inducted as a fellow in the U.S. College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and was a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE) from 2010 to 2015, including as CACE’s president from 2013 to 2014, and chair of the privacy committee from 2015-2017.
