Robins Appleby names two new partners

Robins Appleby LLP announced that Ellad Gersh and Charlie Kim have joined the firm’s partnership.

According to the firm’s press release, Gersh has a broad commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on real property disputes, shareholder disputes and condominium and construction litigation. He has represented his clients before tribunals and all levels of court in Ontario, including the Commercial List and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Gersh also practises in the area of tax litigation and has represented clients in the Tax Court of Canada, Federal Court of Canada and Federal Court of Appeal.

Kim, who works with the firm’s business law group, advises on all aspects of corporate commercial law, with a focus on private companies in connection with various transactions and ongoing governance issues.

He represents startup enterprises and closely held businesses, as well as professional practices on a wide range of issues, including mergers and acquisitions, financing and negotiating key commercial agreements. He also represents banks and other lenders in connection with secured lending facilities and various loan transactions.
