IP firm Deeth Williams Wall adds two new partners, counsel

Deeth Williams Wall LLP announced that Lauren Lodenquai and Tom Feather have been admitted as partners and Gary T. Daniel has joined the firm as counsel.

Lodenquai’s practice encompasses the protection, management and enforcement of intellectual property (IP) rights with a focus on trademarks and patents.

According to the firm’s press release, Lodenquai’s experience includes opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademarks Opposition Board, as well as proceedings before the Ontario and Federal Courts.

She also manages IP portfolios in Canada and internationally and advises on copyright matters, domain name disputes and regulatory law matters, including advertising, marketing, packaging and labelling. She advises clients in a wide variety of industries including food and beverage, consumer goods, automotive, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and oil and gas.

Feather’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent, trademark and industrial design applications and the preparation of information technology agreements.

Prior to attending law school, he worked primarily in the field of computer-based system development, generally involving large-scale signal processing and remote sensing using parallel processors.

He also worked for several years as a biostatistician and was a member of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Daniel practises IP law including trademark, copyright, IP licensing and agreements. His practice extends from the prosecution of trademark applications through to litigation of IP rights. He appears in the courts of the province of Ontario, as well as the Federal Court of Canada and before the Trademark Opposition Board.

He has 30 years’ experience in the IP field. He advises clients in complex licensing issues and has acted as IP counsel in major corporate transactions.
