Minden Gross LLP announced that David Holmes has joined the firm as a partner in both the commercial leasing group and the commercial real estate group.

According to the firm’s press release, Holmes’ practice focuses on providing clients with advice on the acquisition and disposition of commercial property, development, financing, leasing and franchising of commercial, industrial, retail, and mixed-use properties.

Previous to joining Minden Gross, Holmes directed the central legal team for the business and operations at one of Canada’s largest real estate development and operating companies. With this experience, Holmes views a transaction from all sides, having experienced negotiations as a representative of buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants in private practice or as counsel from the business perspective.

Holmes received his LL.B. from Osgood Hall Law School in 2000. He was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2003 and the bar of England and Wales in 2004.
