IMK advocates announced that Christine Makar will be joining the Montreal litigation firm at the end of her internship in August 2019.

According to the firm’s press release, she will begin her career as a litigation lawyer and confirmed her choice to stay with the firm: During my internship at IMK, I was fortunate enough to participate in two trials that allowed me to discover various facets of litigation that were previously unknown to me and that provided me with insight into the exciting career that lies ahead.”

Makar joined IMK in the summer of 2018 as a law student and is currently doing her law society internship. She completed her law degree as well as her juris doctor in 2018 at the Université de Montréal, making the dean’s list. During her undergraduate degree, she held the position of intern and summer student with a non-profit legal organization. She also completed an articling at the Superior Court with Justice Thomas M. Davis where she developed a strong interest in litigation.

As a summer student, Makar has been involved in a variety of civil, commercial and real estate matters.
