Banicevic heads Canadian Bar Association's competition law section

The competition law section of the Canadian Bar Association has a new chair.

Anita Banicevic was elected to lead the section and its executive committee for a one-year term, effective Sept. 1.

Banicevic is a partner with Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. She is a specialist in the are of competition law and has worked on cases involving mergers, abuse of dominance, misleading advertising and criminal price-fixing. Banicevic previously served as vice-chair of the committee.

The bar's competition law section has the goal of promoting legal and policy analysis, dialogue, education, diversity and leadership among competition law practitioners
