New associate for Lenczner Slaght

Lenczner Slaght announced that associate Andrew Locatelli has joined the Toronto litigation firm.

According to the firm’s press release, Locatelli maintains a broad practice, with experience in complex commercial disputes, class actions, public and administrative proceedings, professional liability matters and securities litigation.

“We are very pleased that Andrew has chosen to join us to continue his practice,” managing partner, Tom Curry, said in the news release. “He has demonstrated a passion for advocacy and has an impressive list of accomplishments. We look forward to adding his knowledge and expertise to our team.”

Prior to joining Lenczner Slaght, Locatelli practised at Gowling WLG where he successfully represented clients in civil, regulatory, and arbitral proceedings. He has also acted as counsel in internal investigations relating to fraud and regulatory non-compliance.

Locatelli completed his law degree in 2018 at Western University, where he graduated with distinction and was awarded the Robert M. Solomon Scholarship in Tort Law and the Law Society of Ontario Prize for academic excellence. While in law school, he co-represented Canada at the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, placing in the top four of 650 teams worldwide. He also competed as a finalist in the Lerners LLP Cup, led the Immigration Team at Western’s legal clinic, and he worked as a research assistant to professor Jason W. Neyers and professor Andrew Botterell.
