Three associates join Minden Gross

Toronto-based real estate, corporate and commercial transactional and litigation services law firm Minden Gross LLP has hired three new associates.

Jessica Thrower has joined the business law group.

Thrower's practice will focus on corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, financings and reorganizations. She will also maintain a general corporate practice that includes assisting clients with drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, business structuring, and corporate governance issues. Thrower graduated from Osgoode Hall.

Ladi Onayemi will work with the firm's real estate and property assessment and taxation law groups.

Onayemi will deal with commercial real estate transactions including purchases, sales and financings. He will also assist commercial landlords, tenants, developers, property managers and financial institutions with all matters relating to property taxation including reviews and appeals of property assessments and negotiating settlements with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). Onayemi graduated from Osgoode Hall.

Whitney Abrams is the newest member of the firm's litigation group.

Abrams will be responsible for a broad commercial litigation practice. She has experience with trials, motions and hearings before the Superior Court of Justice, small claims court and various administrative tribunals. Abrams will also work with the firm's cannabis law group where she will provide regulatory and business advice to domestic and international cannabis stakeholders. She graduated from Queen’s University.
