No vaccine mandate for Nunavut judges

Nunavut’s chief justice has “no plans to mandate vaccinations for judges” and is not asking that they disclose if they have had their full round of shots, says an official. On Sept. 28, the Citizen Lab released a “preliminary comparative analysis” of how various “information technologies were mobilized in response to COVID-19 to collect data” and the “extent to which Canadian health or privacy or emergencies laws impeded the response to COVID-19.” The report also highlights the “potential consequences of reforming data protection or privacy laws to enable more expansive data collection, use, or disclosure of personal information in future health emergencies.” ... N.W.T: Territorial Court judges fully vaccinated; jabs for staff who work with ‘vulnerable’ mandated

The Territorial Court of the Northwest Territories (NWT) has confirmed that all its resident judges are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Chief Judge Robert Gorin, on behalf of the Territorial Court, issued a statement to The Lawyer’s Daily that said, “all resident judges of the Territorial Court of the Northwest Territories are fully vaccinated.” ... Manitobans cautioned as province enters fourth wave

Manitoba’s government is reminding its residents to continue practising physical distancing and get vaccinated as the province deals with its fourth wave of COVID-19. The Sept. 27 warning comes the day the province reported 93 new cases, 67 of which were found in people not fully vaccinated. Ontario adds extra labour inspectors, workplace safety tool to help business in face of COVID-19

On Sept. 27, the Ontario government announced the launch of a Workplace Safety Plan Builder to “help businesses stay on top of health and safety guidance,” as well as extra labour inspectors to ensure COVID-19 safety requirements are being adhered to.
