Goodmans promotes five to partner

Goodmans LLP announced that David Coll-Black, Joe Hoffman, Michael Royal, Karen Vadasz and Bradley Wiffen have joined the Toronto firm’s partnership.

According to the firm’s press release, Coll-Black is a member of the business law group. His practice focuses on corporate and securities law. He advises public, private and multinational companies on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures, going private transactions, as well as public and private debt and equity financings and corporate governance matters.

Hoffman is a partner in the municipal, planning and property tax group. He specializes in municipal law representing both public and private sector clients throughout Ontario, including real estate developers and municipalities.

Royal is a partner in the tax group. His practice focuses on all aspects of income taxation that arise in corporate and commercial transactions, including public and private M&A, public offerings, financings and corporate reorganizations.

Vadasz is a partner in the business law group. Her practice focuses on corporate and business finance law, including a range of domestic and cross-border financing and corporate transactions acting for both creditors and debtors.

Wiffen is a partner in the corporate restructuring group. He practises in the area of corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on corporate restructurings and related transactions.
