New labour and employment associate for DLA Piper in Toronto

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP announced that Brooke Stewart has joined the firm’s Toronto office as an ‎associate in the employment group.‎

According to the firm’s press release, Stewart regularly represents employers in employment-related litigation matters, ‎including employment standards compliance, terminations, allegations of human rights ‎discrimination and accommodation in the workplace.

She also routinely provides ‎advice to employers on a broad array of employment and labour law issues, including ‎hiring and compensation, employment and contractor agreements, workplace policies ‎and procedures, workplace investigations, union organizing and employment law ‎aspects of corporate transactions.‎

Stewart joins DLA Piper after working at Davenport Law Group, a Toronto based boutique specializing in ‎employment and labour law. She completed a Canadian and American dual juris doctor program with the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy School of ‎Law.‎
