Brown Mills Klinck Prezioso LLP is the newest addition to the pension, benefits and executive compensation field, set up by four former partners of the largest management-side labour and employment law firm in Canada.

Elizabeth Brown, Lisa Mills, Terra Klinck and John Prezioso left Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie LLP and its more than 120 lawyers, and moved a block away in Toronto’s financial district to their boutique firm. They are joined by associate Jason Paquette.

The firm will provide such services as insolvencies and corporate transactions; litigation, advocacy and dispute resolution; pension plan administration, governance and regulatory compliance; capital accumulation plans; employee and retiree benefits; and executive compensation.

All four partners have an extensive background at Hicks Morley. Brown, who joined the firm as an associate in 1995 and became a partner two years later, is a former member of its executive committee. Mills, who will work out of both Toronto and Ottawa, had been with the firm since 1998. Klinck spent 10 years at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP before moving to Hicks Morley in 2008, while Prezioso worked at Oslers and the Ontario Transportation Ministry before joining the firm in 2006.
