FIFA must face concussion issues head-on

As always, rivalries and hotly contested matches are at the forefront of the FIFA World Cup this year. However, some things are different about this year’s tournament after ridicule following the 2014 edition of the games. This year, FIFA is placing a stronger priority on player safety after a report from 2014 accused the soccer federation of not following proper guidelines and protocols relating to concussions suffered by players.
