Law Commission of Ontario appoints three new members

The Law Commission of Ontario (LCO) announced the appointments of three new members, effective Jan. 21, 2021, Randall Kahgee, Shalini Konanur and Neha Chugh

According to the LCO press release, Kahgee (member at large) is senior counsel with Olthuis Kleer Townshend LLP in Toronto and specializes in Indigenous rights law, with an emphasis on community-based processes and government-to-government negotiations.

Konanur (member at large) is a lawyer and the executive director of the South Asian Legal Clinic of Ontario (SALCO), a not-for-profit organization in Toronto that provides direct legal services to low-income South Asian populations across Ontario.

Chugh (representative for The Law Foundation of Ontario) is a criminal defence lawyer practising in eastern Ontario since 2011, and since 2014 has been the owner and managing partner of Chugh Law Professional Corporation.
