Cox & Palmer names new managing partner of P.E.I. offices

Cox & Palmer announced that Robin Aitken has been appointed managing partner of the Prince Edward Island offices.

According to Cox & Palmer’s press release, Aitken brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and her practice, in a wide variety of areas including estate and tax planning, corporate and commercial transactions, commercial and residential property, estate administration and probate work. She was called to the bar in 2005.

Her clients include individuals, trust companies, financial institutions, charitable organizations, owner-managed businesses and national companies. She holds the designation of TEP (trusts and estate practitioner) from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Aitken’s corporate and commercial law practice involves incorporations, shareholder agreements, corporate reorganizations, estate freezes, contract negotiations and asset and share purchases. She also works with both individuals and organizations to develop solutions for privacy and access law compliance and complaints, including drafting policies and agreements and providing advice on the proper management of personal information.

In addition to her legal practice, Aitken is the president of the P.E.I. branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
