Cassels Brock adds two partners in Calgary, one in Toronto

Cassels announced the arrival of three lawyers to its Calgary and Toronto offices.

Tamara Prince joins as a partner in the litigation group in Calgary. Prince’s practice focuses on complex corporate/commercial litigation, including matters involving energy and environmental law, construction, commercial leasing, class action defence, competition, pensions, tax, securities, employment defence and franchise disputes. 

Derek R. Elliott joins as a partner in the real estate and development group, also in Calgary, where he will serve as an adviser on a range of residential and commercial projects. In his practice, Elliott acts for banks, pension funds, trust companies, real estate investment trusts, Crown corporations and private institutional clients in connection with the development, acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of all major asset classes.

Ryan Hornby joins as a partner in the business law group in Toronto, offering particular expertise in the mining industry. He maintains a general corporate practice which includes corporate finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions and advising on various matters relating to corporate governance.

In other firm news, Cassels announced seven lawyers in Canada have been promoted to partner, Marissa Coggin, Corinne Grigoriu, Stephen Henderson, Chris Selby, Kyle Simpson, Stephanie Voudouris and Bryan Woodman.
