Stewart McKelvey announces new lawyers at three N.B. offices

Following bar admission ceremonies June 15, Stewart McKelvey welcomed four new lawyers to its offices in New Brunswick. 

According to the firm’s press release, Erica Chestnut and Leigh-Ellen Dunstan will join the Saint John team, while Mark Heighton will be located in Fredericton and Lyndsay Scovil will be in Moncton.

Chestnut’s practice focuses on labour and employment, human rights law and alternate dispute resolution. She has a BA from Memorial University (2014) and earned her J.D. at the University of New Brunswick in 2020.

Dunstan’s practice areas include commercial transactions, corporate formation/reorganization and real property law. She has a BA from Acadia University (2002), a master’s from Queen’s University (2003), a B.Ed. from the University of New Brunswick (2006) and a J.D. from that university in 2020. 

Heighton’s practice is focused on administrative law, commercial law, alternative dispute resolution and privacy law. He earned a BBA from the University of New Brunswick in 2013 and his J.D. from the University of New Brunswick last year.

Scovil’s general litigation practice consists of a variety of labour and employment, insurance, administrative and immigration matters. She holds a BA (2017) from St. Francis Xavier University and earned her J.D. in 2020 at the University of Ottawa.
