Langlois lawyers announced that Philippe Bélisle has joined the firm’s labour and employment group and Marie Dupuis is the newest member of the insurance group. Both lawyers will work from the Montreal office.

“The arrival of Philippe and Marie allows us to sustain our steady expansion and attests to our continued ability to attract the most talented professionals in the legal services industry. They will play a proactive role in our clients’ success,” said firm CEO Jean-François Gagnon in a press release.

Bélisle assists clients and colleagues with all aspects of labour and employment law, in matters involving both individual employment and collective labour relations.

In addition to his practice, he is responsible for responding to the group’s needs in terms of drafting precedents, information sharing, publications and the development of tools facilitating the practice of law.

Before joining Langlois lawyers, Bélisle practised at an international law firm after completing his articles in the legal department of a major international organization in Europe (UN FAO).

Dupuis devotes a considerable portion of her practice to matters involving governance, strategy, crisis management and ethics, particularly in files concerning directors’ and officers’ liability, professional liability and the management of not-for-profit associations and organizations.
Before joining Langlois lawyers, she practised for four years at an international law firm in the areas of risk management and compliance. Prior to that, she worked for more than three years as a policy adviser in federal government circles.
