Two new insurance associates for Blaney McMurtry

Blaney McMurtry announced that Lucas Kittmer and Maria Christodoulou have joined the firm as associates.

According to the firm’s press release, Kittmer represents clients in a broad range of insurance and commercial litigation matters.

Called to the bar in 2016, Kittmer joined Blaneys after working at an insurance litigation boutique in Toronto.

Christodoulou is developing a practice in insurance defence litigation and coverage work, with a special focus on fidelity insurance and fraud recovery.

Christodoulou has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, small claims court and Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

During law school, she served as assistant editor of the Law Review, was selected to compete in the Bowman National Tax Moot and volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada. She also received an academic excellence award for highest standing in public law. Prior to law school, she served as the editor-in-chief of the University of Toronto Pre-Law Society’s journal.
