Dentons names 15 new partners in five Canadian offices

Dentons announced that 15 lawyers in Canada are joining the firm’s partnership. According to the firm’s press release, this diverse class of new partners will add significant bench strength in a variety of sector groups and practices.

The following are the new partners, locations and areas of practice:

Montreal:
 
Ali Amadee is a member of the corporate group and the venture technology and emerging growth companies team, where his practice focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance and venture capital transactions and a broad range of local and cross-border commercial and business law matters.

Camille Janvier-Langis is a member of the tax group, practising primarily in the area of tax litigation, where she supports and defends the rights of taxpayers in their various interactions with the relevant tax authorities.

Toronto:

Deepshikha Dutt is a member of the litigation and dispute resolution group. Her practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, with particular emphasis on professional liability, environmental, class actions and insurance-related matters primarily dealing with directors and officers (D&O) and errors and omissions (E&O) liability.

Also a member of Dentons’ litigation and dispute resolution group is Kathryn McCulloch, whose key areas of practice and knowledge include aviation, banking, estates, commercial leasing and oppression actions.

Kelli Patel is a member of the corporate group, and advises a broad range of clients on corporate governance, corporate/commercial law matters and cross-border M&A, with a particular focus on the life sciences and health sectors.

Calgary:

Nicole Bacsalmasi is a member of the securities and corporate finance group, with a practice focused on corporate finance and M&A.

A member of the commercial real estate group, Jeff Coape-Arnold’s practice includes a broad range of experience in real estate acquisitions and divestitures, commercial lease agreements, financings, secured transactions, joint ventures and partnerships.

Clark Kassian is a member of the real estate and cevelopment practice group, where he advises on transactions involving commercial real estate assets, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, leasing and land use.

Edmonton:

Alexis Barr-Gusa is a member of the corporate group. She advises on numerous corporate and commercial matters, including construction contracts, commercial contracts, organizational, governance and restructuring issues, business and land acquisitions and sales and financing.

Also a member of corporate group is Michael Beard, who carries on a general corporate commercial practice, advising clients on a broad range of matters, including M&A, corporate governance and share and asset purchase transactions.

Jessica Fabbro is a member of the tax group, where she provides tax planning, business succession planning and estate planning advice, focusing on private corporations and high net worth individuals.

Alison Walsh is a member of the labour and employment group, where she provides labour and employment advice to employers in both non-unionized and unionized settings on a variety of issues.
 
Vancouver:

Kimberly Burns is a member of the corporate group, where she offers clients a broad range of experience in corporate and commercial transactions, with an emphasis on public and private M&A, commercial agreements, corporate governance, corporate structuring and partnering agreements.

Wilfred Chan is a member of the real estate group, where his practice focuses on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, developments, dispositions, financing, leasing and subdivisions.

Hugh Drummond is a member of the banking and finance group, with a practice focused on the negotiation and documentation of project- and real estate-related financings, as well as acquisition and corporate finance.
