Eight new associates for Stewart McKelvey

Following the Nova Scotia Bar Admission Ceremony on June 7, Stewart McKelvey announced that eight new associates Matthew Jacobs, Nico Jones, Dylan MacDonald, Kimberly MacLachlan, Kathleen Mitchell, Alycia Novacefski, Sam Ward and Keisha Wright have joined the firm’s Halifax office.

According to the firm’s press release, Jacobs has a broadly based practice that includes banking and financing, bankruptcy and insolvency, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), cannabis, intellectual property and tax issues.

Jones works in the areas of commercial transactions and agreements, M&A, real property and corporate formation and reorganization.

MacDonald works predominately in the fields of maritime, transportation, environmental and natural resources law.

MacLachlan works with commercial transactions and agreements, M&A, securities, corporate formation/reorganization, competition and media, advertising and marketing.

Mitchell has a background in nursing, giving her insight into the needs and operations of health organizations and health care providers. Her focus is health law and medical malpractice.

Novacefski has a general corporate practice, focusing on banking and financing, M&A, corporate transactions/agreements, real property and corporate formation/reorganization.

Ward’s clients include liability and automobile insurers, employers and private businesses, banks, government organizations and individuals.

Wright enjoys a general corporate practice in the areas of banking and financing, M&A, commercial transactions/agreements, corporate formation/reorganization and real property.
