Dentons promotes eight to partner in Canada

Dentons announced that the Canada Region Board has approved the admission of eight lawyers to the partnership, effective Feb. 1, 2020.

“Our newly admitted partners are exceptional members of the Dentons team, serving our clients’ needs locally, nationally and globally, and I couldn’t be more delighted to congratulate each of them on this well-earned milestone in their careers,” said Beth Wilson, Dentons’ Canada chief executive officer in a press release. “Each is dedicated to professional excellence and their clients’ success, and has demonstrated personal accountability and a deep commitment to their roles as legal and business advisers.”

New partners in Montreal: Catherine Dagenais, litigation and dispute resolution; Xavier Van Overmeire, corporate law.

New partner in Ottawa: Jawaid Panjwani, regulatory law.

New partners in Calgary: Keith Bishop, corporate/energy; Simon Kupi, regulatory; Afshan Naveed, restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy; Kelly Osaka, litigation and dispute resolution.

New partner in Vancouver: Eric Lung, corporate.
