Devry Smith Frank adds two real estate associates

Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) welcomed associates Alida A. Brydon and Corrine V. Joseph to its office in Whitby, Ont.

According to a press release from DSF, which merged with Woitzik Polsinelli LLP in October 2020, Brydon works with the commercial and estate litigation groups. She graduated with a BA  from the University of Toronto and earned her LL.B from the University of Western Ontario. Soon after, she was called to the bar in 2007. She gained years of experience in civil litigation at a boutique law firm in Toronto. Her practice areas included commercial general liability, property damage, product liability, motor vehicle accident, occupiers’ liability and personal injury claims, coverage issues and subrogation.

Brydon served on the Insurance Law Section Executive for the Ontario Bar Association from 2009 to 2014 and from 2018 to 2021. She is also a past president of the board of directors for Mary Centre, a non-profit organization that assists adults and seniors with developmental challenges.

Joseph works in the firm’s real estate department. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA specialized in communications from the University of Ottawa and earned her J.D. from the same university thereafter.

She was called to the bar in 2017. Prior to joining DSF, Joseph worked as a sole practitioner at a boutique law firm in Toronto managing real estate transactions ranging from real estate purchases, sales and mortgages.
