New and exciting? Is this article really about property taxes? Yes, it is. It has been over 20 years since the province introduced the Current Value Assessment (CVA) system and concepts such as tax capping and clawbacks, vacant unit rebates and tax classes and sub-classes. Over the past two decades, numerous amendments have been made to the legislation governing our property assessment and taxation system. Both the province and the City of Toronto have announced some exciting changes for 2018.
