Appeal Court rules B.C.’s pension fund manager immune from federal taxation

A lawyer representing a B.C. Crown corporation set up to manage a number of public sector pension plans is hailing a recent decision by the British Columbia Court of Appeal that it was immune from federal taxation, but also said questions remain as to the court’s ruling the body is bound to a number of taxation agreements the province entered into with the federal government.
